If you need a certain feature which is currently not implemented or find a bug, please use the ToDo/Bugs/Request link in the main menu. We are always open to suggestions and will usually implement needed features pretty quickly. Please note that the screenshots displayed on this site are mostly programmers art and proof-of-concept screenshots and in no way represent the graphical abilities of the engine. If you create some nice screenies, send them to us or add your project to the "Projects using LF" section in the wiki and add a screenshot or two there.
Next release
CVS version back in working condition
A note to linux-users: since we changed the particlesystems, the particleeditor doesnt work anymore so the build will end with lots of errors in the ped. However, since ped is the last thing to be built, the rest is built just fine and works. The Makefile s in the exampels/testX and tools/x directories wont work though and wont create the necessary links to execute the tests and the tools. To create those links, just execute the last line of the Makefile in each directory.
CVS version will not be compilable for a day or two or three
Release V0.2.5
And again, we did some Interface-breaking changes but nothing really serious - you should be able to update a project within 5-60 minutes, depending on its size. Changes for this version: - Many warnings and memory leaks removed, should build with gcc4 - We changed the organization of the whole rendering section New in this version: - screenshots - largeterrain (paging terrain with splatting) - relative positioning in gui - textmodel - renderwindow-flags instead of parameters - blender im/exporter - gui: matheditbox (calculating in an editbox) - editor-camera-controller - gui: combobox - gui: scrollingpane - picking (see test10) - skydomemodel - particle-editor can load particlesystems now And as usual, for all the details, see the changelog. There will no longer be a binary distribution for linux, instead we will provide a downloadable snapshot of the cvs since im using a pretty old compiler and many people had problems with the binary version. I also changed the nx++-library thats included for the modelconverter to a static lib so that shouldnt give any more problems (i hope).
How low can you sink ?
First, please read up on what a hacker is, for example at http://www.catb.org/jargon/html/H/hacker.html before you call yourself one - you really give a bad name to real hackers. Second, using MS Word/Frontpage to edit html files is really good - shows you know your stuff. I hope you at least bought the license of the software. Third, changing the homepage of an open source project is really a good idea. Harassing people that give away their stuff for free will surely get you the kind of attention you want. Dont you think it would be more effective to attack large sites with many vistors ? Might be an idea for your next "hack". Fourth, i hated geography in school, really, but you SHOULD know that germany is not denmark (where the cartoons originated if i remember correctly) - but then, yeah, germany is north of africa so its all the same. Fifth, being a religious fanatc is cool - no need to think for yourself because theres someone thinking for you (your imam or reverend or guru or (insert any other religion's leaders here) ). Maybe you should actually try to read whats written in your holy book for yourself - im pretty sure theres something like "dont do to others what you dont want to be done to yourself" in there. Apart from "dont kill" of course which many religious fanatics also somehow seem to overlook ... *sigh* |
