Hi,
Ran into a number of problems building Bullet on ubuntu which I first thought was in the bullet code, all where resolved by installing more dependencies.

I happened to find some great instruction on this website:

(you'll have to scroll down a bit and they work for the latest ubuntu release as well)

I built under the latest ubuntu, Lucid Lynx. Some of the packages are either gone or depreciated so I simply deleted their names from the sudo apt-get statement with no problems. Other than that the instructions worked without a hitch and I now have a working version of the engine.
