is it possible to get that?

i ask because someone told me it should be easy to do when an engine offers the scene depth.

i was asking a guy named hibread on #opengl on that when he told me ssao would be looking a bit better with normals in addition to scene-depth.

by the way, is it possible to create an ssao effect with the postprocessing framework? all what i read says ssao is some kind of postprocess.

thanks for your answers

To get the normals (and possibly linearized depth packed together), you need to render the scene using your own shader first, instead of standard (aka built-in) depth pass.

About ssao, yes it's a post-process filter and yes I plan to create a demo when I find the time.
